People who leave Pay & Display tickets on their Windscreen?

It's a pet hate of mine that's just been ignited by seeing a 4x4 with a six inch square of the windscreen taken up with the things.
Am I missing a sensible reason for leaving them stuck on, or is it such hard work to pull the ticket off and stick it in the door pocket?

For me it rates alongside dressing the passenger seat or rear parcel shelf with a day-glo jacket. Do you want me to think you're a copper? A road worker? A railway worker? Does your passenger seat feel at risk of collision? Does your parcel shelf need to be seen by passing aircraft?

I would assume its done to make the task of the parking attendant of spotting the relevant ticket more difficult, thus possibly avoiding paying every now & then.
The dayglo jackets? Well, if you're constantly going from building site to site, you probably need easy access to it. Other than that, people trying to imitate a copper etc seems quite sad. Or am I missing something?
matt.

The possibility of the car containing copper may inhibit other road users from harrassing them

Only Police in marked cars actually wear their Hi-Vis in my experience. Unmarked Police cars of which their are at least half a dozen floating around the M4 from Bridgend to the Seven Bridge have a plain black uniform with just the shoulder epilettes on display while driving.
BTW I quite regularly keep my jacket on when travelling from site to site.

It is just a pet hate, it doesn't keep me awake at night - it's so trivial it's stupid, but then pulling the ticket off the bloody windscreen is so trivial too
