Old Low Light

I have just recieved the new Kathryn Williams album from my friendly Welsh mail order company.

I bought Dog Leap Stairs on CD (before I had a TT) and it sounded good enough to make me buy her next album (Little Bl....) when it came out on Vinyl (nice 220g version) this sounds so good.

The new alum is equaly amazing.

Not only are the songs incredible (how does she put so much sole into her voice and a couple of acoustic instrements?) but the production is the best I have ever come across from any artist. This adds so much to the already great songs.

My question is what excuse do other artists have for their poor production values. KW is not that mainstream, so her budget for production cant be huge.

Kathryn - Well done, you show the others up.

This is indeed a very well recorded album (I Have the CD, but have Little Black Numbers on that nice vinyl you mention). All the instruments sound natural and integrated, there is no compression, excellent.

However I don't think the album comes close to the quality of songwriting of Little Black Numbers. It's good but LBN is the first one to get.
