Mike, I was expecting this to happen, it was getting a little too Un-PC for this forum.
Nobel loosing the plot and degrading their eminence to the level of an e-bay trinket is one thing, but, as I am sure you are familiar with, the mucky waters of US politics, Rep's vs Demo's, Iraq & Afganistan, misguided writings on whatever et al is (can be) a little too uncomfortable for sensitive readers ...... shame but I guess other forums with a more hairy anal gland & less pink colored necks will be happy to oblige.
BTW, my Republican or Die buddy from the Land of Many Waters is hot on the wires from his leaking teepee.
So I am getting my daily dose of Obama related stuff.

This is how it starts ...
Sorry I didn't get to read the final posts to the thread. So who killed it, the goose steppers or the liberals?
(that should get this one deleted as well :-)

It's still around in the Padded Cell. I moved it briefly to review after a flag was sent out. I'm keeping an eye on it though...

Seems pretty civil to me, Richard. Any thread on a political topic is going to generate diverse opinion and some heat.
Thanks for putting it back. Seems to be dead now anyway.
Unnecessary censorship should be avoided.

I was not surprised it got sent to the naughty step as it was using naughty words
But I - and am sure others too - found it an interesting study on the mix of public opinions.
It was bound to not stay on topic (Nobel) as it was linked to and therefore guaranteed to get into Obama, which is a natural lead into US politics, how pink are Democrats, how fascist is a Republican, I am surprised someone has not added the subject of Obama letting gays "come out" in the US military.
Providing the posts stay close to the topic and not become insulting or a personal ping-pong fight, the various points of view are an interesting window on the human race - especially the US race -

Poor old Richard. I bet when he first went for his job interview with Naim, one of the questions was not:
"How sensitive are you to the vicissitudes of world politics and how do you feel about moderating a world-wide forum to promote self expression but precluding an international incident?"
Keep up the good work. The electronics is the easy bit.......
