London 15/11/05

Yesterday there was a rather spectacular sunset over London. This was the view from my desk.

We actually watched it progressing...
(I work on the 8th floor of a building on the south embankment, exactly opposite Tate Britain, this is looking west toward Battersea power station)

That sunset was great from Stansted too, without the photogenics though. I just stood and watched it as a 'me moment'.

Erm, I used my trusty old (well 2 year old) Minolta Dimage XT. The default setting I use is "fine" which I think produces 2048 x 1536. (It has a higher setting, which saves as a .tif, each image an enormous file size) I tend not to use this as it fills up even a 512mb card too quickly.

I like the camera, but I'm not aware if it's regarded as anything special. It's very small, convenient and well made/reliable.

Forgive my lack of expertise...

Rod

PS I needed to hold it steady against a window ledge to take this shot, having not had a tripod with me. Naturally the camera left to its own devices would've flashed.
