Hi all,

Been a while, just got i/c back. Got a query - the black ring around the disc spindle on my CDi looks worn - is this the nexel ring? should it be a solid black ring?

I am thinking of having the kit serviced - what's this likely to be for the CDi? I also need a tophat puck with two 'nipples' in it - was chatting to a couple of other Forum-ites about this and never got round to sorting it out. CDi is not mistracking, but obviously want to take care of it as it's a great bit of kit.

Any answers on a postcard etc etc.

Unfortunately, you can not do anything. You have to live with it untill it skips. And then the transport will have to be changed.
In the meantime, take good care of the puck (hat), be sure it is always in perfect condition and cleanness. If disks slip, they will remove a little more rubber each time.
