I do not have one single browser, and I have tried them all now that will actually show new postings on this forum. Every single thread shows two yellow folders next to it. Its been that way for some time now.
Some people seem to have no trouble others do, I don't see new posts on:
Safari
Explorer for mac
Omniweb
Camino
Firefox
And Explorer on PC
So, can you have a look into why this is the only forum I have ever visited that as well as not doing private mails, does not show new posts and presumably costs naim something huge to do each month.
Get a cheap server with a huge hard drive and roll your own man.
I believe you to be an gentleman of the likes seen in Victorian times so I do not expect you to understand half of what I just badly typed.
Over and out.

I expect the butler will reply to this one and not trouble the Master...

Count yourselves lucky. I keep thinking there is an image in a thread and can't see anything there or offer any other explanation for the subsequent posts. Is it the Mozzarella?

In the absence of his Lordship would those as is having this problem be so kind as as to visit their "My Space".
In here you will find a tab labelled "Cookies". Within this be so kind (again) as to open "Show all my cookies for this domain"
(Sling your hook Parker) Cut & Paste the text within this box and e-mail to me to pass onto the bods who understand.

Of course I would PM it to you but in the absence of this basic feature Adam you will need to mention your email to me.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Any news Adem or is this the single most important question to have vexed a piece of forum software?
Most others seem to cope....

It is relatively easy to find threads with new posts on. One glances at the clock on the computer when one logs off (and duly remember it), compare this to the time shown in mauve on the right of the title menu, when one logs back on. The lowest one with a time later than that on the computer when you last looked will be the oldest new post not seen in that menu page (eg Music Room, Hifi Corner, etc). The higher the post on the menu the newer the last post. Not at all hard, and absolutley no computer knowledge needed - just a bit of old fashioned savvy!

I believe that your suggestion is what the geeks refer to as a "workaround". It might work but that's hardly the point...

Dear Deane,
It may be work-around, but it is how most little niggles are solved, isn't it? Systems are generally imperfect, which is why a bit of native savvy is still required! When that is not necessary, I'll curl up and die...

Well Adam, as I understand it other forum software costs around 30-100 quid a year for a license.
These other forums have no issues.
After many weeks mine (and others) issues with cookies not updating post status have not been resolved.
Is it time to move on from infopop?

Ye seek to summon the ghost.
Alas, the Meredith cometh not upon demand, rather more when it suiteth. So cast ye no more spells, the Meredith may appear betimes, according to his choosing.

As I said above, I can't see that there is a point answer. I explained how to keep track. If the software that Naim chooses to use to run a Forum (that is essentially entertainment for memebers, as well a source of some confirmation that our views are held by some people and not others, which we might have guessed anyway) is not to your taste, why not frequent other Fora more to your taste!? If it is tool for market research, then it all the more so the Company's business how it is run. We are guests here, and lucky in many ways.
I hope Adam just lets it ride, but if he does answer I wonder what on Earth you expect him to do. Jump at your whim?

Fredrick I am a tool of the commercial bandwagon that is the Naim forum.
I only expect an answer because Adam offered one.
Although I appreciate your idea of remembering every time I log off what the time was, its a silly silly idea when the forum software should work.
The software is designed with no input from adam or myself to inform you when new posts have been placed. It would be nice for that element to work.
Oh an thanks for the continued posts on behalf of Adam Fredrick.

Gary,
I don't speak for Adam Meredith, and the idea I proposed is by no means silly, but are you surely complaining too much! Nobody is compelled to log in here. I am sure that at this time of year everyone has enough to do, without worrying about this sort of thing.
All the best Fredrik
