i would like to know if a test cd exits
some thing like what the bbc sold on lp.
is there a cd with tones on it.

Stereo Review and Chesky sell a disk, "Gold Stereo and Surround Sound Set-Up Disk" Chesky number CHE151. Finlandia Records sells "Surround Test CD" Finlandia number 0630-17711-2.
The Chesky has specific sub setup tracks while the Finlandia disk has lots of tracks containing individual bass-frequencies.

Do it yourself.
It takes a CD burner, a wave editor software (Cool Edit or the likes) and a CD creation software.

I use a copy of "Sound Check II" produced by Alan Parsons and Steven Court. You can get it from a few places, mine came from Studiospares
It contains pink noise, phase checks, 1/3rd octave sine wave frequencies, several music tracks and more.

Stereophile sells three test CDs direct from their website. Reasonable cost too.
