i have at my disposal all the ways of powering a prefix ( 52 /supercap/hicap)which would be the best way
how much of the supercap would be used and is it cost effective
same goes for the hi cap

Hi Neil. Having recently supercapped a prefix I would say that its worth every penny. One of those big front end changes that just sounds so right. The immediate thing I noticed was a massive improvement in top end detail. Once fully warmed up I noticed a huge opening of a window into the rhythmic structure of a piece, and to me about another half octave of bass from my SBLs.
With your level of kit I would certainly go
for the supercap.
the only thing you think of as all those wasted
regulated supplies... maybe a wall lamp could be run from one or something.

I'd use the 552 then. It really is a massive improvement over a 52, Hicap or a Supercap powered Prefix
