On-U sound in all but name

I don’t know what legal problems On-U Sound are having to prevent them releasing records on their own label but I really wish they would get them sorted. Because The Modern Sounds of Harry Becket, by yes you’ve guessed it Harry Becket is not allowed to be released on On-U Sound, but had to be released on a Japanese label – Beat most On-U Sounds fans have missed it. And that is criminal.
Harry Becket played the superb trumpet on 2BadCards Leaving Rome and he’s continued the style here using rhythms from Jazzwad, Carlton Bubblers Ogilvie, Adrian Sherwood and Junior Delgado. It is superb. Think of the really nice jazz/dub outings on the 2nd CD of Adrian Sherwood’s Becoming a cliché and you’re in the right territory. I’ve always thought Adrian Sherwood is a genius and with this album he’s shown that he really is back after a few fallow years. Just wish it was on On-U Sounds.

'Becoming a Cliche' is a cracker, & I was surprised it's on Real World.
I saw the ON-U Sounds show at WOMAD (Lee Perry & Little Axe, with Adrian Sherwood on the desk) which was brilliant.
I think this explains what's happened to ON-U.
Thanks for the Harry Becket tip JCS - I'm off shopping!

All I want to know about On-U Sound is when someone will get their act together and release the magnificent Pal Judy by Judy Nylon on CD?
