My first post - CDX2 abroad - help

Posted by: James S on 23 September 2003

Hi guys

First post and was looking for a bit of advice.

After 17 years of seperates enjoyment I made the mistake (?) of going for my first naim audition the other day in my quest for upgrades - stupid idea that was, best get the credit card out!

As ever my first upgrade is going to be my CD. Now I was all set on a CD5 until I saw a used CDX2 on ebay which i put a furtive bid on. Anyway the bid went up and I left it.

However since then I have received several unsolicited e-mails from retailers in Europe ofering me CDX2's at around $2,500 (dollars). I'm really tempted but I'm sure this can't be kosher as I know Naim control their prices pretty strongly.

Has anyone had any experience of this or any feedback for me. If it is real I want to take advantage as it's only £400 over the price of a CD5.

Help!!

being a recent product the CDX2 CANNOT be that under-priced at 2500 US dollars. Do not buy if you cannot see it and test it yourself.
