I'm a big fan of the music on Days of Future Passed by the Moodies, but the lyrics are hilarious. As are the band photos...

What about that Chinese noisy thing you've got

The Enid 'The Spell'. I love prog rock, but I think this is what others hear when prog is played (and don't like it), and in this case they are right.
I think I wanted to get some classical music, but instead bought this sad caricature of the most pathetic romantic themes played out with all the thinness of 80's synths. Perhaps had I seen The Enid play the sunrise at Stonehenge after consuming what Bill Hick's called a 'heroic quantity of mushrooms' I might have something redeeming to say about The Enid (they were actually pretty good live I have to admit).
I bought a couple of Saga albums as a kind on reminiscence of teenage bad taste, they are truly awful. Listening to them is like poking a sore tooth with my tongue, you have to do it every so often to see if it is really that unpleasant. Unlike The Enid there is a slight masochistic glee to Saga. They are the missing link between prog and pomp rock, just not as evolved as you might expect a missing link to be.
I would add I don't own anything by Dexy's, and they are pretty much my most loathed band ever. I sympathise about owing something by them, but even if you are very green, it is still acceptable to release the CO2 through combustion in the name of art.
By the way 'War of the Worlds' was by Jeff Wayne, Jeff Lynne was the songwriter in ELO, I would not listen to either, but they are not on the Dexy's/Enid level. Perhaps Dante would have to be consulted about the correct level Dexy's/Enid should be put on.
EDIT***
Oh God, I have just had the image of Kevin Rowland's (of Dexy's) comeback poster come back into my mind, him in women's lingerie, Dante might just have to invent a new level of hell for him alone.***
Now I am slightly tempted to go listen to Saga, and not at all to listen to The Enid.
Munch: Barry Manilow just does not compare, he is quite cool all things considered, and I also respect him as he did not intend to be a solo artist, but was the band leader for Bette Midler, who suggested that he make his warm-up routine for their shows into something more. He was quite reluctant about it. The haircut was his own choice I think, so all is not redeemed.

Nothing by Miles Davis could be embarrassing, not even if he had done an album of Enid covers.
Miles Davis 'Birth of the Cool', I rest my argument.
I would say that in my dictionary next to Cool there is a picture of Miles Davis, but I think it was Stephen Fry who pointed out 'In my dictionary there are words not pictures'.
(Don't take this the least bit seriously- well except the bit about Kevin Rowland in his own level of Hell).

I'll still take Enid over Miles ATM.

WARNING YOU MIGHT FEEL PHYSICALLY SICK LOOKING AT THE FOLLOWING IMAGES (you know that feeling when someone puts on 'Come on Eileen')
And the pointed bit at the bottom of this illustration is where he will end up.
PS. I take no responsibility for any reaction to listening to Saga albums.

Ouch, you might not like them but they will not embarrass you - to the outside world they will make you look wise and very very hip.

Not wishing to offend fans as it's just my opinion, but in crimes against music, Crowded House and Chris de Burgh are in a different league. So a few Christmas's back, my loving wife pushed the boat out...

Tracey Chapman. It's only ever been played once and that was by Mr. Swain when he was checking out his handiwork in the ghetto.
