Antonio - Live

Having first encountered his music at the BBQ last Summer, took a couple of friends to see him last Saturday at the Stables, Wavendon. He was fantastic and now has two new fans!! For over two hours he enthralled the audience, working with a trio at times (Cello/Guitar/Tabla) what a wonderful range of styles and showmanship. Comes over as a really nice guy - happy to meet fans and sign CD's afterwards. Good sales I should guess so Anna should be happy. The acoustics of the venue are good but it has lost much of the feel of the Stables. Anyway going back for Kate Rusby. If you get the chance to see him live take it!!

I heard him on his last visit to the Stables. However enjoyment was marred by a couple of ignorant tossers constantly talking in the row in front and shouting out "Antonio we love you" - these sort of people ought to be drowned at birth!!

You have my deepest sympathy....there were no such present but I have been to a number of concerts were the juvenille behaviour has taken place. I guess they don't get out much...maybe they are care in the community(or should be). What do you think of the 'New Stables'?

Yes it is OK, I prefer the old one, seemed a lot more personal and there was something to do with the acoustics that I could never quite pin down??

I'm just glad I have a local live music venue that attracts the smaller but classy acts.

I did kick myself as I did miss Thea Gilmore and Ronny Jordan, but hopefully they will return.
