I had a pair of Mk1 kans from 1986 to 1998. In a moment of madness I sold them to my brother-in-law and bought a pair of ES11's. About a year ago we traded speakers for a few days. I realized what a big mistake I'd made. The ES11's sounded slow, flabby and indistinct in comparison. After a day with the ES11's, the guy REALLY wanted the Kans back. I am now back in the Kan fold with a pair of Kan 2's and can't see myself selling them (unless a used pair of SBL's comes up in my area!)
