I have just watched the news on TV re. the pentagon release of the film showing 'the airplane' flying into the pentagon (not that you can see a plane - or any part of a plane - at all).
Interestingly the presenter said 'of course the evidense for the fact the plane did fly into the pentagon is overwhelming.....there is even film (shown)of the pilots going through passport control at the airport'
On a point of pedentry...how does a film of some arab looking men going through passport control at an airport prove that a plane was flown into the pentagon? No other evidense was offered, overwhelming or otherwise.
What a bloody sloppy piece of reporting.

I have never reckoned US reporting was solid enough to stand much scrutiny. Who pays the reporters' wages and selects them. I wonder if the CIA is any less involved internally than they have been more or less all over the non-Communist world since 1945...
Who actually runs the world I wonder? Blair's actions may be a bit of a give away I think. I suspect that the answer may at last be the same people running the current US administration, which is a very scary thought.
Perhaps we should all just have fun as time is surely very short for the human race. Three generations maximum?

The version of the news I saw last night Erik, had the reporter say that there was nothing in the released footage that could answer the conspiracy theorists. Bold statement from the BBC I think.
It's clear to me that it wasn't the plane we are supposed to think it was.

Good for the BBC. I was watching the ITV news. On the whole I much prefer the BBC but all the media is increasingly playing the 'fear card'. Newspapers especially do this. They need to sell newspapers so they need to drum up an enemy, increase fear and offer dire warnings. Do they report the news or do they, in part, create it?
