The Decemberists

I bought an album called Picaresque by the above band at the weekend (it is their last album before the upcoming new release) and I think they are fantastic. I heard about them in Word magazine and would recommend them to all, really unusual but in a good way! I also bought Chutes too Narrow by The Shins from 2003, I missed it first time round, and I think this is very much a modern classic.

They are excellent, i've not heard Picaresque, but the later album, The Crane Wife is very good.

Thanks for reminiding me of the Decemberists!

I haven't listened to them for a while and I haven't bought the new one yet (note to self: do!), but all the back catalogue is great, from Castaways and Cutouts, 5 Songs EP, Her Majesty the Decemberists, the Tain EP to Picaresque.
