TONIGHT - Later .... BBC2 @ 11.35

Enjoyed Last weeks show and have ordered Janes Addiction & John Cale latest CD's. Also enjoyed Nitin Sawhney but not sure what to buy yet (seen recommendations from the NS thread though).

Joining Jools in the studio this week, Jamaica's million selling dancehall star, Sean Paul, with tracks from his Dutty Rock album, and Hoylake's young upstarts The Coral, with numbers from their current long player Magic & Medicine.

Also in the room, from Atlanta, one of the biggest MCs in hip hop, Ludacris, hot from his massive success in the US with his new single Stand Up, plus Manchester's melancholy Elbow with a couple of tunes from their critically acclaimed second album, Cast Of Thousands.

Enjoyed Coral, their version of Ghost riders in the Sky was V good Wink Big Grin. Sean Paul also good and I was surprised how much I liked Ludacris.
Still don't enjoy Elbow, seems to be played at the wrong speed IMO.

Sorry you just have no taste.

As for Later, it's a good show but should stick to approx 4 acts playing 3 or 4 tracks each. There were just too many artists on Fridays show, (7 I think).

I like Joolz but he's not a great interviewer, shpuld stick to presenting and playing.

Joolz should definitely stop playing if he can't do anything but that interminable Boogie Woogie nonsense.
