135's or higher?

I have been listening to a pair of 135's for about 4 weeks and while they cetainly do sound different, I'm not sure that their any better. Apart from the fact that the have an annoying buzz ( to go with the speaker hiss ) they seem to add alot of boom to the speakers. The speakers are front ported and are about 8 inches from the rear wall, the room is 15x15 foot. Any comments or advice on what my next logical upgrade might be cheer's Alan
