Naim HDX with Mac OSX 4.11

Posted by: Henye on 15 May 2010

Hello, I have just recently purchased a Naim HDX. I am totally happy with it, ripped many CD's and connected my USB hard drive. The only thing I can't do yet, is creating a music folder (flac) on my Mac OSX 4.11 that I share with my HDX. How do I create a specific folder on OSX 4.11 that my HDX finds in network? Many thanks for the help and Greetings from Switzerland.

As far I know the HDX is not able to play FLAC via a network share. Only MP3 and WAV 16 Bit/44.1 kHz. FLAC can only be played back from a local USB attached media.

Thank you very much for your help. Finally with help from a friend who knows very well Mac OSX, we were able to create a sharing folder with my HDX. Two "little" problems remain: 1.) the connection is not stable that means sometimes the light on the Naim screen (or on my desktop) turns to yellow then back to green.
2.) I have put for testing a simple mp3 file into the folder but my HDX is not finding it.

What am I doing wrong?
