VdH Frog

Hi,

Has somebody first-hand experience with Aro/Frog/Prefix K-Type combination?
Two major questions for me:
1. VdH writes you need 0.6-0.8g of bias and Aro has 1.5g minimum
2. Frog has 0.6mv output so what about overloading of Prefix? I read here some speculations about Lyra Lydian and standard Helicon weren't happy with Prefix because of highish output.

What is your opinion about PRAT qualities and involving factor of Frog?

If your using the Aro/Prifix combo then the Helikon SL should be your first try. The SL was specially developed for Naim K boards. If you are lucky enough to use a prefix (Seattle has awful RF), you won't be disapointed.

I tried the SL with a Prefix/Supercap and the music was jaw dropping, even though there was bad RF. Please Naim, make a low output transformer for Seattle!

PS: Stay away from the std Helikon...I found it very brash and tense.
