Hi

We have just taken delivery of Meet Me In London by Antonio Forcione and Sabina Sciubba on 180g virgin vinyl.

It's not up on the site yet, but if anyone would like to buy a copy, e-mail or ring me. They're £15 each.

Hi

Yes, I'll be taking some to the Manchester show at the Hilton. I'll also have a few copies of None But The Lonely Heart on vinyl as well.

We have posted quite a few copies of LPs though, and not had any problems...

I did, and it survived the journey through the post with ease, securely packed into a large jiffy bag and the cast-off packaging from Anna's lunch wink

Actually it was a clean Pizza box, which was a bit disappointing since I was a bit peckish at the time.

Anyway for those that loved the shiny silver version, this is excellent, although I've not been able to play it much, since Sabina's powerful voice will test the limit of your cartridges tracking ability, and my Linn-rebuilt Klyde failed the test. Consequently my LP12 is back at the dealers being looked at, suspecting a dodgy rebuild frown

Go and buy it today, and find out what's missing from the CD, although I'd hate to be held responsible for enlarging Anna's waistline in an attempt to get more packaging - maybe the others in the office could help out smile

Excellent album ! I had the CD once and couldn't appreciate it enough, but with the vinyl version, lovely ...

Andrew mentioned about her voice testing the limit of the cart. Playing without going through the VPI cleaner yet, on the track "Brasilico", nearing the end there is some distortion when her voice goes really high, on my Lyra Helikon SL. This happened as well on another record some tiome back, but a thorough cleaning solved the problem of too much mold-release agents probably (all who had the record had the same problem). So will try to clean thoroughly and listen again ...

Hi Dave

I'm not going to the manchester show any more, perhaps you should try your first mail order purchase? I really fancy pizza for my lunch anyway... We do pack the LPs really securely, so you shouldn't worry.

Confirmed, thorough cleaning on the VPI RCM machine with the original VPI cleaning fluid solved the problem. No more distortion ...

sorry, I'm not going to the Manchester show, therefore no CDs or LPs are either. We do a great mail order service, speedily despatched in naim pizza boxes. Same price as shows too, so you won't lose out, small p + p charge though. Go on, we've very nearly run out of them, can't get any more...

Well, I've got my LP12 back with a cartridge that works now and it sounds bloody marvellous.

Can't believe I've been living without vinyl now for some 6 months pending funds and actually getting Linn to do the job properly!

Oh boy this is just so good, please do some more for us Anna, I can help with the Pizza wink
