Would an Olive HICAP degrade over 4 years?

I'm looking to buy a second hand HICAP. Would a 6 year old one sound better or last better than a 10 year old one?

Yes, but I couldn't tell you by how much. 10 years old is getting into the region of needing a service and recap - about £150 on a Hicap I think.

But a 10+ year old one that's just been serviced may be a better bet than a 6 year old one!!
