Is my 1993 nap 180 due 4 a service? ,would it make any difference to sound quality?

I'd like an answer to the same question! Except I have the NAP140 of the same age.

We recommend that power amplifiers and power supplies are serviced every 8-10 years for optimum performance. Once serviced, the equipment should perform as well as (or sometimes even better than) when it was new.

How much would a service be on a NAP140? And what about a 10 year old NAC72? Would my preamp need a service?

For details of cost and service turn-around times you should contact your local distributor or, if in the UK, e-mail us or call our service department.
Pre-amplifiers also benefit from a service, especially if there are obvious signs of component deterioration (such as excessive noise on pots etc..). It's harder to give estimates on pre-amps without actually checking the unit over but your distributor or our service department can give you a "worst-case scenario" costing.
