Very nice Bas!
Next car i'll get, if i can collect enough money and don't by records every day......, will be A Fiat Panda 4x4.
Very nice the new models and nothing that can stop it.
Even 70 cm of snow!

Anyway i think that i'll wait for the new engines to come out.
Even cars fron China should give a good shake to the market and even, i hope, a reduction of prices.
Anyway Audi is a very fine car.
One of those that i like more is the TT model.
Very ahead look!

Hey Gianluigi, my first car was a 1986 Fiat Panda 4 wheel drive!!
One litre weber carb'd engine and a hammock for a back seat.....
It only lasted me six months, but was a blast for ripping about fields, and in the snow....in fact I think it was held together by the mud most of the time I owned it.....
A fun cheap first car.......
Cheers,
Ali

I know!
It was a very "light" car, but i know people that still have it after 15 years.
The new one is something more than a country car, but keeps all the skills of a good offroad: lightness, thin tires and some of the trait that made Subaru 4x4 differential probably one of the best.
About 14.500 euros.
I must stop smoking 'cos i really can't stop buyin' cds!

That will please the car makers of Europe for certain.

BasV, great looking car.
Unfortunately, Peugeot has not been available in the US for a while, so I drive a little Japanese car instead.
Take good care of the car,
Haim

I do drive this at the moment.
It's not bad, but i hope winter is going to end sooner this year.
The heating system died in november!

I've an A3 2.0 TDI that is now 2 years old. It will never get you thrilled about the adrenalin pumping ride you are about to have but it is an entirely comfortable (and reliable) tool that grows on you with each passing mile.
Previously I owned several Alfas. You may note that Gianluigi does not own an Italian car. He is clearly a bright bloke.

I think that you've been sold a dud, Bas: the steering wheel's on the wrong side!

Hi and good morning!
I must admit that italian cars have been for years not the exact matching between price and quality.
The last good Fiat i drove and owned, in the '90, was my 20 years old Dad's car.
Fiat 125 Special.
A very fine car!
In the end Dad did surrender and decided for BMW and never change since the last.

Not mine. Wish it was. I could get those bullet holes fixed easy.

Lovely car. Simply elegant. Only what is needed to do the job and all with an understated quality that will stand the test of time. Nice counterpoint to all of the over the top bling on the road today. Really like the interior. Looks like 5 or 6 speed manual. May I ask what engine? A version of this model has just recently been put on sale in the U.S and is getting rave reviews in the press. Don't know about sales here, as Americans have never taken to hatchbacks for reasons I do not understand.
Enjoy

Hi Clay!
Thanks for the compliment. The engine is a 1.9TDI (105HP) with 5 speed. The 6 speed comes standard on the 2.0TDI. But as 'you Americans' don't drive hatchbacks, you also only use gasoline, don't you? So for you I guess a 2.0 FSI would be more suited (I think the lesser engines are a tad slow).
Regards, Bas

Bas V.
Just looked on-line and the two American models are the 2.0 T,as you guessed, and a 3.2 S which must be a real bear! Regretably, no 3 door or diesels on offer, though the latter may change when we start producing low-sulfer diesel in the next few months. I'd really like to try a diesel.
