Are you asking if you can put files onto the Serve's internal drives? If so, I dont think you can do this.

Naim don't like you messing with the innards of the Serve unless you are using the ripper. You can set it to scan folders on network drives though.
Dave Dever knows a lot more about it.

Hi Chris
I have a small NAS drive just for Hi Rez files. I shared the directory the files are located on.
The UnitiServe should find the share automatically. You just have to enable it by going into Settings / Shares (If I remember correctly) on the Uniti
Have fun.....

Chris, I purchased some hi-res WAV files from MA Recordings and as my nas share is promoted to a store I could not get it to show in the index of music....
As it was the same album as a STD def version I had, I copied the cddb info file from the STD album into the hi-res version of the same album and edited the track names, etc to suit and then rescanned the store...only then did the album index itself.
Hope that helps....

IMO it is best to always reserve a part of your NAS as a share, even when you think you won't download music.

No upload needed - simply share the folder (via Windows Sharing on the Mac, if that's what you're using) and the UnitiServe will then be capable of playing the files directly off the drive.

You could also add the hi res files to a flash drive and plug it into the back of the serve.
