This forum did generate upgraditus and all I will say about that is thanks chaps for spurring me on.
I don't contribute much to the forums nowadays because I have said everthing before and fora needs new blood rather than old has beens repeating themselves but it is good to read that Naim still has the magic that other marques lack.
Regards

It's marvellous Our Mick that you yourself still actively contribute with a balanced professional eye, on let's face it, at times some very important subjects & grave matters of State to-boot, and I must say ! in my eyes you'll never be an Old Has Been, with your never diminishing search for the truth, and I'll gladly spur you on anytime you old James Last Groupie you
60 odd Berlin schools began the Jamie Oliver healthier grub phase recently, with a commercial view to selling it big-style soon, as well as his tv show hitting our screens.
I must admit I've yet to meet 'German' adults here who really go for baked beans, but I'm sure the kids will open up a new mega-market, innit

Nime, me old Pie, Mash, & Liquer nosher, having just returned from a brisk hobble around the block to hand over a prescription to my Chemist, for my latest stash of drugs, I doubt very much if I'd be able to scarper from the scene of the crime too easily, and besides that; if I ever in a serious moment of fiscal despair decided upon doing any kind of business with Our Mick, it'd be full cash up front John (which he'd never agree to) , hence he's rich, and we ain't.
My Taxes and IR paperwork are all bang in order and up to date though, so there'll be no surprises on that score at least, unlike certain other duckers & divers I could mention, but naturally wont, You know me!

Given the target I expect we could easily persuade Mick to pawn two of his three watering cans at this time of year...

I watched the 2003 Bond film with Mizz Berry in it last night for the first time ever, and as tasty as she truly is, I think if I were honest; I'd rather go for the Aston Martin with 30 years+ free petrol in it, innit
Oh, and a decent garage of course
Brown Freezes Fuel Tax For This Year: Stop Press: Marvellous News eh Chaps !!!

As is well known in Essex, torture simply doesn't work as means of getting reliable convictions and information from innocent (and even guilty) prisoners. Egypt & Syria etc, etc, etc, if sanctioned by a 3rd Western party to carry out such 'helping people to help the police with their inquiries' (over the last 4-5 years +) simply are BULLSHIT², and in my unqualified opinion there are simply no arguments against this stance, except frustration and amateurism³, cos the real worlds different from Hollywood and Karlos the Jackal hysteria (Great Movie though),
Ironic that Colin left, and Condi gets the hot can of worms, them both being Black Pioneers in their fields, innit
Watched some of the Sadders trial earlier on the BBC, and if taken for what they on the face of it are; those witnessess giving testimony at present deserve the highest of the highest praise for their courage and bravery, a human power & dignity in the face of unbelievable adversity and pressure, unknown by the likes of President Bush or Rumsfeld, etc, and I sometimes feel the Republican party may do quite well by losing them asap

I apologise to anybody in advance here (who may happen to read this) and if they find it too esoteric or just plain daft, to comprehend? Britain's fight against terrorism with it's closest Buddy the US of A. and monitoring movement of it's citizens etc. Let's talk about biometric ID cards & Passports, etc etc, (Germany 2 months ago, introduced them, now fully operational, and at half the UK cost to-boot). Britain, let's talk some more about these things, have a 14 week summer break, then change the subject.
Britain again, Let's start a why did Thailand, etc, etc, allow our loved ones to get killed in a Tsunami on Boxing Day last? I know Bungle! let's talk about it, and whip up some hysteria, and ask why we the people donated so much money to the Tsunami fund!
Highly reliable early warning system, NOW up and running in the region for some three months, financed and made in er, Berlin, near er, Germany:
Will The Dorty Digger manage to er, mention this?
Like Fuck he will
Remember the Flintstones theme tune and how they're all gonna have 'A Gay old Time', well having just seen the news about Brighton etc, and Britain finally allowing legal same-sex partnerships with all the rights everybody else enjoys in marriage (being the religious country that it is) in the 21st Century, and especially now that England's in €urope at long long last.
N.B. I wonder how the Honourable Oldie is doing these days, if indeed he is still around! Hopefully yes, innit?

A young cowboy walks into a cafe in Texas. He sits at the counter and notices an old cowboy with his arms folded staring blankly at a full bowl of chili. After fifteen minutes of just sitting there staring at it, the young cowboy bravely asks, "If you ain't gonna eat that, mind if I do?"
The older cowboy slowly turns his head toward the young cowboy and in his best cowboy manner says, "Nah, go ahead."
Eagerly, the young cowboy reaches over and slides the bowl over to his place and starts spooning it in with delight. He gets nearly down to the bottom and notices a dead mouse in the chili. The sight was shocking and he immediately pukes up the chili into the bowl.
The old cowboy quietly says, "Yep, that's as far as I got, too
Paddy is doing well on who wants to be a millionaire. He's got £500,000. Chris Tarrant asks him the big question for 1 million quid.

So a young Jock has beaten a Taff to the Tory leadership then !
You'd think they'd want a nice English name like Bruno really, wouldn't you?
Talking of risking other peoples money! I've always stuck with the concept of having a low return, but almost totally safe investment in say Government/Euro Bonds, rather than letting some unqualified spiv of a dodgey geezer pretend to have my interests at heart, and sign away my savings etc, to big risky & associates; feign ignorance later, and expect the State (in costrast to Society) to foot the bill for my stupidity, even though the Chap/ess who ripped me off, did so quite legally:
There should be a bloody law against it, innit
