Global Communication

On the 13th July, this "git" wrote a post to you that went like this (though, like my Hendrix advice you totally ignored ):

"After 76:14 they took an old (and deeply, deeply crap) prog album called "Blood Music" by a group called Chapterhouse and totally "retranslated" it into their own album called "Blood Music: Pentamerous Metamorphosis". It's excellent, not quite as good as 76:14, but still worth searching out."

There is also a CD by them called "Remotion", it's excellent too but it's deleted.

The guys behind Global Communication are the type who record under different names, with slightly different styles.

One of those is a group called Reload, whose CD "A Collection Of Short Stories" is very good, but slightly more drum n' bassy (IMO - I'm not an expert in this genre).

P.S. If, during your peregrinations through those dusty old LP browsers, you happen to come across the original "Blood Music" LP (by a group called Chapterhouse), do not, under any circumstances, buy it. I haven't heard it myself, but aficionados of the Global Communication "treatment" of it who have given way to temptation all agree that it is probably the worst record ever made and is unrecognisable as the source of the GC treated version.

I know what you're like when you're let loose with a bit of money on a Saturday afternoon (though I do look forward to seeing what on earth you've managed to dredge up each weekend!).

Ha I have forty pounds of the relm and am off to Old & New Records in watford for a perusal, today I am looking for a group gall hog something or other, one album has a picture of world war fighters on the front. Its not for me BTW.

I will also be closly looking out for blues, cream in particular and anything else I can get within my budget!

I am all on my lonesome as my girlfriend is visiting a friend in southampton, so I will be under no pressure therefore I will be taking my time!

Are also the excellent Jedi Knights, whose album and singles are all worth tracking down, if you like a Funkadelic / Parliament style booty fest.

Thier studff was withdraen for a while becuase of some problems with George Lucas (I wonder why?)
