The Clash - London Calling - BluSpec CD

Assuming someone here has London Calling in their collection. As far as production & sound quality is concerned, how is it thought to rate?

I ask because it's the only Blu-Spec CD I have. I don't have it on ordinary CD. I listened to it last night through headphones (CD5i,Graham Slee Solo, Grado SR225i) - first time on headphones, normally listen out loud. It sounded absolutely amazing.

I've actually been thinking about selling the Slee because I find so many CDs difficult to listen to, it really brings out any harshness.

So I guess I'm wondering if its the BluSpec aspect which makes this sound so amazing, the production of the album, or what. Getting it on CD would be best I guess, to compare like for like.

I'll be worried if it is BluSpec that does so much, I cannot afford that many titles at those prices! How do you all rate BluSpec, as the only one I have sounds brilliant to my ears.

Just a great album maybe?
The vinyl is stunning.

It's a great album. I have just the regular CD ripped to Apple lossless (played through SuperNait DAC and it sounds great. It's kind of lo-fi in some ways (no fancy tinkles and exaggerated bass, nor elctronica), but raw, dynamic and textured. The music gets through with no problems.

No experience with Blu-Spec.

Is Blu-spec different from Red book, or just a marketing gimmick?
