Portables

For those of you who manage to drag yourselves beyond the listening room for any extended period of time, then you may have discovered the voodoo of portable music players.
Lets be honest. Most of them are crap but some are reasonable at music reproduction. However, I do find it hard to live without one.
Ok, I'll get to the point. I recently purchased an 'Airhead' headphone amp to go with my ipod and sennheiser cans. The pod sounds ok with 192kb mp3's, but it doesn't drive the cans very well on its own, so I thought I would try out the Airhead ($100, 30 day money back etc.)
Why cor blimey guvner! What a difference. Powerfull, clean sound with bass! So if you have a portable and a decentish set of cans then give this thing a whirl.
https://www.headphone.com/ and look for the Airhead or Total Airhead (which is even better, allegedly)
Unfortunately you will probably still look a bit of a tw*t walking down the street with a big pair of cans strapped to your head, but hey, if your ok with it!
