Sending equipment overseas
Posted by: Steve Crouch on 22 July 2003
I will collect my new Snaxo 2-4 tomorrow and will post my findings after a few days warm up etc
In the meantime, I have sold my old Snaxo on ebay and need to send this to USA. What is the best method of shipment and rough costs?
Cheers
Steve

Not sure about cost, but I know my friends from the shop only use UPS when sending their own kit abroad. It's less likely to arrive in pieces that way.

Parcleforce can very cost effective for items up to £500 (as their insurance levels top out at this amount).
I sent my Linn Axis to Japan with no problems from them and have shipped quite a bit of stuff to the USA.
I made a claim once for a £50 item in a package total value £350. They paid up promptly and sent me more than £50!!!!
For items above £500 if you want insurance then you need to look at the major carriers like UPS/FedEx etc
