I have seen the SL2s advertised at £4,995. Anyone know if this price includes the passive crossover? If not how much will the pxo cost?

Thanks for that Bosh, brings me one step closer to getting the credit card out. Still bothered by value for money though.

VFM means naff all when you consider pride of ownership...
And of course the sound, if you can find a cheaper speaker which does the same, then you have discovered VFM.

I've had SL2s on a home dem and believe that they sound as if they are worth £5k compared the sound to other speakers and therefore in that sense they are vfm. Maybe that's all that matters. However my concern over value stems from the fact that when you look at the physical material content (compared to other speakers including SBLs) you question why they need cost so much. Anyway as it sound that counts I'm sure many will ignore this aspect of value and buy 'em anyway, maybe me included.

I hope you are not asking what components in an SL2 cost £2,500 more than in an SBL.......
If the SL2 s had been priced at, say, £3000 i.e. SBL production costs plus a mark up for R&D and improved sound quality, I would be very interested in buying a pair to replace my SBLs. But at £5000 they are well out of my budget. Oh well, another lost sale.

Enigma,
If the 500/NBL was a "10", where on the scale would you put the 300 and 250 ? Is the 300 nearer the 250 or nearer the 500 ?
