Another pole for Hamilton

Posted by: Deane F on 16 June 2007

Just watched qualifying. Pretty good stuff for any driver - let alone a rookie!

Alonso must be absolutely seething...

It seems it's not just us Brits that are happy. The Yanks think he's great!

Well I've booked my tickets for the British GP and I'm looking forward to seeing young Hamilton. It will be my son's first GP and he's very excited at the prospect as Lewis is his new hero.

Even i'm back watching F1 after a gap of about erm 'Michael Shumacher'.

Hamilton is without doubt a 'Star in the Car' Faultless drive today. Alonso doesn't look best pleased though. Mind he has been beaten fair and square in practice and on race day.

Where's me Scalectrix at?

The national anthem post race.... Were they using a Bose Lifestyle system? The timing was awful (started playing just before it finished) and it seemed to have one-note bass!

S'funny, same here, Diccus! Winker

The boy done good again today and the best debut of all time is now in serious danger of being a completely unbelievable one. I can't wait for Silverstone as the atmosphere will be phenomenal.

Ferrari-whats gone wrong?
They have lost 4 key people from the team, at least 2 of them (mr Braun & Schuey) have been the key ingredients to Ferrari's success. Without them, Ferrari have gone from being an extremely motivated/focussed/intelligent team, to being just another good team, with good drivers. Not enough, at the moment.

Superb.

Too many adverts, though.

So, how many cars did he overtake then?

Just the back markers - led from start to finish.

He's quite good.

What a strange question...

He won the race - from pole position.

So, (just a stab in the dark here) nobody overtook him?

The fact that he won the race from pole position and didn't overtake many people other than back markers probably shows how little skill there is in F1 these days...

Yep.

Totally agree - I think that the key person they need is Ross Brawn. Although Schuey is around I do not think that he can contribute that much given his vague role.

Tickets arrived today. I'm taking my eight year old son who is really looking forward to his first GP. Fantastic.
