2nd hand CDS2, good idea?

I've seen a few CDS2 head units on Loot for sensible money. Thinking about buying one. What are the issues? I've only bought new or ex-demonstration from a dealer before. Advice gladly accepted, mulled over and acted on.

I am assuming it will beat a CDS1 head unit.
