Elite or Mystique?

I have been told that nait 5 will have a tough time with Elites and therefore I shoud try Mistiques. My problem is a lack of listening space (3 X 3.5)meters so speakers must be positioned close to rear wall.Mistiqes as I heard have rear bass reflex and Elites do not, so in the light of these new fact about my situation what would you recomend me.

I first heard Elites being driven by a Nait 5 and they sounded good enough that I bought a pair. I had an Exposure integrated at the time and they sounded great. I've since progressed through a 112/150 up to my current 202/200 and they sound even better with each upgrade.

However, almost everything I've read about Elites say they need lots of power. That's not my experience at all. In fact I powered them for a while with a pair of ancient 30 wpc tube mono amps and they sounded fine.

I'll go with Mystique + Flatcap for about the same price as the Elite. Or with your small room, try the Petite.

I had a pair of Mistique 2s with a Nait 3. They're not very bassy, so sounded great in a smaller room - very civilised sounding. However, if you move them to a bigger room, you'll notice they're not quite man enough (I've since upgraded to a pair of B&W CDM7s.)
