Anyone know of these (property investment) people?
I'm attending one of thier seminars tonight and was wondering if anyone had any experience of them.

Hi Fisbey,
I think there was a feature on these folk on Watchdog a few months ago. (Well, there WAS a feature and I think it was about these folks).
Apparently they tell you great things about the huge sums you could make if you put your money into their property buying schemes, but hey, wait a second! It turns out that they have their own best interests at heart not yours (how dare they!) and the property they sell you they either:
a)sell to a bunch of other people as well leaving a big mess regarding who owns what, or,
b)is vastly inflated over market price.
I would say, if they're keen to have you write cheques out etc on the evening and don't want you to look deeply into what it is you're actually buying, then RUN AWAYYY!!
Hope this helps, it's a jungle out there.
Let us know how you got on??
Cheers!
Rich

Being a bit cynical, if I'd found the secret of making a shitload of money I'd be very reluctant to pass it on to people for free.
I suspect they will try and get you into some sort of MLM scheme.

Rich,
If it's the same programme I watched, the company was called omiclub. There was a thread on here a while ago concerning them which you can read here:
http://forums.naim-audio.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/580...442916007#7442916007
I,m not sure if the company Fisbey is on about are connected ? (If they are steer well clear).
Regards
Justyn.

If it was that good a way to make money, why aren't they putting it into practice instead of selling seats to tell people about it?
The best way is to do your own research. I seem to recall that Which? did a good guide to renting out property, and you'll learn more than you could imagine by browsing this forum's posts and FAQs. You'll also find a few other (unfavourable) comments on Inside Track and their ilk.
Don't go, or at the very least leave your chequebook and credit card at home.

Just noticed that you were going this evening so most of these comments are too late. Would be interested to know what you thought of the event though.

Hi Justyn,
I read the thread about omiclub at the time (but thanks all the same), yet I think the prog was about Inside Track because not 2 days later an Inside Track mail-out landed on my doormat and I thought 'Ah! Those cheating scum they just had on Watchdog...', as I walked to the shredder.
Steve - thanks for the links, but unless you're registered you can't read them.
Generally, I agree with folk here:
if its so brilliant, why aren't they quietly doing it rather than running seminars about it (and taking your money)
if there's so much money to be made doing it, why are they taking yours (unless that's what 'it' is all about)
plus I add the sentiments:
if you look at the 'we need people to get together so we can bulk buy' concept, I think it's just a smoke screen. If there was any really large profit coming out of these deals, a small nugget could be made to snowball up quite quickly and you wouldn't need to run seminars to get other people on board...
...unless the profits were (at least in part) coming from the punters.
But then I'm very cynical about such things, generally.
How did you get on Fisbey?
Cheers!
Rich.

Fisbey - lucky break old chap!
Roy - Original price is £2399 for a two-day course?
I'm saving that bit of news in case anyone, anywhere, EVER says an XPS2 is 'expensive'.
Cheers!

Thanks Justyn - was going to find the thread but you've saved me the trouble
Fisbey, if it sounds too good to be true, that's generally because it is.
Cheers,
