Worth remembering that pedigree animals are notoriously prone to disease and neurotic, and there's no reason to suppose that the same would not be true of pedigree humans. Besides, we need stupid people to do the jobs that we are too intelligent to do.

Having dealt with a few of the people EW mentions, I can reluctantly & partially agree that some people could have the right to proliferate removed. ie,5 kids/4 different fathers, all on welfare & going nowhere. Maybe repeat-rapists & peadophiles as well could be "neutered" for want of a better phrase, to quell their desire to repeat offend. Incarceration/councelling/support/therapy do not seem to have the required succes rate. I admit that these are controversial views & have no wish to offend individuals.
But bearing in mind the "quality" of our existing law-makers & enforcers, who would be the arbiters of these powers?
matt.
