I've always liked what Frank Bruno's about, innit Big Grin

P.S. The Nigerian asylum seeker who's just been sentenced today to 3 years by a British Court for totally taking the piss out of the benefits system 'Big-Style' should in my opinion not just be deported, and banned from the UK, but the following should happen to him. Any money he has left should be retrieved immediately, a 3 year British sentence will cost tens of thousands of tax-payers dosh, he should be deported to 'Nigeria' once it's ascertainined that he'll serve a similar sentence there ( or a neutral, non life-threatening place) for bringing Nigeria itself also into disrepute.

If the Scouse lad in Romania is found guilty finally, and he's allowed to return to UK to serve the rest of his sentence there, he (his family/UK) should be responsible for the costs, or do we (dare I suggest it) want things both ways? Cool

Dear Fritz,

I guess you would see that I could not deal with emotinal blackmail, I have some experience, both in the familial setting, and unfortunately from a friend who threatened suicide twice. The second time I dealt with it rather peremtorily, and we ceased to be friends! You cannot pull the same stunt twice, and I told his parents just that, for which I became a real Judas in his eyes, and strangely theirs too. Needless to say he is entirely alive today... Liveing at home on a sort mental sick-leave that will never change I guess.

I could never deal with it, so keep in mind that you can only be helpful by being strong yourself. Keep strong. That all said in the most positive way, ratherh than a lecture. I know all this only too well for myself.

Good luck with it from Fredrik

That's good commentary Fredders old bean, and is experience 'unfortunately' known by far too many, innit. Just to reitterate as a last point in my situ. Unlike a Clinic or Hospital scenario, where I would work (have done) under supervision of pro's in the field, of whatever level, I myself have only experience and intuition for each individual situation, and absolutely no qualifications (or desire to get them either) in this field. Nether-the-less, I am (will be most likely be) in the 'field' literally visiting private homes etc, totally unsupervised and unprotected 'legally' , as all sorts of things can/may/have & will happen, and it just should not be the case, but is.

There are many aspects to this kind of work (mainly to protect those being cared for) as well as ensuring that the likes of 'Me' are suitable, etc, etc, to be let loose on frail vulnerbale people, and any of you out there having their usual little sneer & unjustified larf, should put themselves in my or a similar position, then decide how funny and lazy it all is.

This cannot be compared with voluntary work by the way, or feel good factor twice a year charity events to impress everybody down at the lodge with either; one either knows where I'm coming from, or one doesn't it's as simple as me, as always! and kindness and good will also play no part in the game of reality, innit Big Grin

Lastly but not leastly, who is actually responsible for my actions if I fuck up? Who takes the can for unmotivated, bitter folk & colleagues, who are forced to do a task they despise, and the 'client' suffers as a result?

Would you let half of the folk on this forum (who are perpurtedly parents) loose on your kids at the local kindergarten, where they've been sent 'quite unwillingly' to teach English/ German/ Danish, etc? I know I bloody well wouldn't Big Grin

Nice and lively in the hoose too wunnit :Police State' what's that then? let's just hope that nothing happens in the next few hours/days to further uphold Our Tony's latest wheeze? (Know wot i mean John?) Cool

You wanna watch those labels Fredders, they sometimes stick!

P.S. You did the right thing with your ex-friend, and in a similar situation, should do the very same thing again, I would, will, and have, often, unfortunately, even though some have actually done the deed (successfully) afterwards, I've never felt any guilt as such, sadness yes, but guilt no, and I tend to think along the lines today of:

Fuck em!

As hard as that may seem, whoever it may be! and I certainly don't/wouldn't expect any different attitude towards myself either, if I were the psycholigically blackmailing puppeteer, daft or intelligent/malicious or innocent, innit Cool

Taking a small break in watching the quite 'brilliant²' debate in the Hoose over the new 90-day-holding-without-charge proposals, I can't help but think that for all the fine words, and excellent points and 'quotes' put across by all sides, they will have absolutely no bearing on the governments later contraversial win on the matter, and very likely later piling-through of the Lords under the guise of the Parliament Act, breathtaking stuff indeed, immensely sad also; in that no legal & ideal solution will be found, Oh no! Cool

No surprises then that this front page is being filibustered with a cuccophony of mundane repetitive 'technical' threads 'once again', it must be jolly exciting to have such power Smile

And yes I am being sarcastic, it's very sad & obvious! perhaps if somebody mentioned the police failure to arrest one/more of the eventual 7/7 bombers for collecting money for terrorist purposes who were being shadowed? (inquiry yet to appear?) will be more interesting, maybe a few speed camera's chucked in to boot Cool

Well said that man, it's about time somebody told things how they actually are, innit Cool

Bad news chaps I'm afraid! After just returning from an hour and halfs long grilling cum-job interview, I finally didn't get the post. I'm not sure if it was saying 'No thank you, it's far too early yet' after being asked If I drank now & again, by one of a panel of five sitting before me? or if it was after I'd told them that I 'occassionally' posted wise-words on hifi internet forums based in Salisbury UK?

Never mind Chaps, better luck next time eh! and look on the bright side afterall! I'll be able to keep up the quality of my posts now, instead of having to rush things at the firms expense, and just bunging in loads of old toot for sheer quantities sake, innit Big Grin

Strangely enough I learnt earlier today (first hand) (and also for the first time ever since I've been here in Berlin) that Lord Haw Haw (Joyce/William?) British Wartime traitor & Propaganda Meistro here in Berlin (a'la Runfunk) (later executed) for as well as his treason, was legally nabbed, in that he'd never given up his British Nationality daftly enough (I believe he had honourary German at the time as well?). The chap who ran me down on this, is a 'hobby historian' who'm I hope to meet again soon sometime, most intersting, and almost relevant in today's little world of double-standards and 'ideals' I feel, innit Smile

Oooh and it makes me wonder? Eek

I met a seriously interesting bloke last night, who'd lost all of his family in Nazi C-Camps, and he now; 'quite loudly too' is a proud and practicing 'Messianic Jew', ie, a Christian Jew, check it out, quite a story historically, which to be honest I'd never heard of, nor considered possible, amazing stuff, really, and the best bit is, it ain't made up, it's all true, and explains a lot to my tiny mind at least anyway, innit Cool

P.S. He maintains that he's an anarchist too, so I didn't say no when he offered me a few beers (as you do)(he's a rich anarchist!); and I carefully avoided the subject of the ever growing popluarity of Islam across the world, in contrast to the ever decreasing attendances at Christian church services?

Gobshite Graham 55-55 should I think start a new exciting and dynamic thread questioning what Buffy Lichfield enjoyed as hifi equipment, and did he use digital lenses, whilst playing the beach boys & simulataneously wanking over ancient Rangers matches on wideo?

Did you know that over 4 million 'Brits' regularly drive their 'Motors' uninsured, and think nothing of it, perhaps we should infoam our resident Chief Constable who can't say too much at this stooge?

Who'll be first to get a no charge 28 days in nick jobby then? Animal rights activists, anti-hunters, a black bloke in a borrowed BMW?

Yankee cops 'tazered' a 6 year old kid recently for waving a busted bottle about, last year it was handcuffs 'if you care to forget', thank fuck British 'coppers remain unarmed on the whole, until they become, educated, qualified/properly trained-forces, that is, innit: Eek

I suppose what with the new introduction of medical staff in the UK who are neither Doctors or nurses, but who'll soon get waylaid into doing the jobs of both to make political figures look super dooper, and cause chaos & confusion amongst the public in the meantime, including saturday moanings too of course, and will also be beneficial when the 'historic' English drinking laws finally come into play, so that everybody will be so constantly pissed (on BOOZE & ASBO'S), they'll not think about silly old politics and all that stuff, that they don't give a monkeys about anyway, unless it affects their telly, and tesco services?

Nice rant that, most enyoyable.

Remember today is the 11th of the 11th, when people faught for your rights & freedoms to remain apathetic and stupid forever, and to blame everything that goes wrong or things that you dont like on everybody else cos you're English, just like God & Jesus, and you're either with us, or against us, innit Big Grin

Giving the above comments the benefit of the doubt in that he/she is having a larf & a jest, and has probably experienced working for a British firm/Military etc in Europe earning lots of dosh and having a great time for a few years, then returning to Blighty to tell all & sundrie how well they know the country etc, but Britain is naturally better of course, in reality know sod all, and still irrationally slag of the place they want to be in, bit like the whole world thinking it knows all about Bill Clintons sex life; where in reality it only knows about one highly publicised (but miniscule) incident of political indiscretion on his 'part', if you get me drift like?

So tommorow France will be fiercely battling against Germany in a so-called friendly football match, and England (No General Belgrano & dont cry for me puns please) will be having a matey kick about with Argentina, Captained for the 50th time by Beckers (who seriously needs to start focussing big-style as with the others towards next year) only equalled by the mighty Lord Bobby in the Sky, a man I know Beckham also quite rightly personally idolises, and will soon 'possibly, with all the Gods on his side, good wind, no wasps, and a bent German ref) be able to succeed in a similar manner, exactly 40 years after the first round, and this time in the Den of Cpl Carpet-Chewers 1000 year Reich.

Supremely Bitchy on your part Fredders me old Tosca if I may be so bold! Warmly known by many 'real' Cockneys as the London Bubble (Greek heritage), I personally think as well as being a rather good looking chap, extremely egoistic and gobshitey (like Moir), and also as well as being a pretty good song writer, and fantastic 'original' performer and singer to-boot, an honest down to earth geezer.

Fredders me old quince jelly maker, as an afterthought, I recall posting a line or two once (ignored as most are for the par) about my opinion regarding great musicians and orchestras etc, (No, not my intrusion into your wonderful monologues in that other place, that so many got quite hypocrytically hot under the collar about at the time), namely Nime & Gobshite Graham 55-55, to name but two, gallantly protecting your percieved over- sensitivity Winker

My point being that an individual 'original & sincere' musical artist (Of whatever direction) is far purer than the greatest musician, singer, conductor, who simply reproduce somebody elses imagination & genius, a bit like what my newly found Christian Jewish anarchist friend said to me last night in that
he personally despises folk (in his own religion, which he takes very seriously by the way) who pray three times a day just for the sake of it, where as the God he knows and loves is well aware if and when he's being sincere or not, and can't be arsed going to mass or whatever, innit Roll Eyes

Assuming you were there speaking their language, respecting their culture, and loving their women, rather than policing them, earning lots of dosh for a foreign company there, and only speaking English, and arrogantly expecting everybody else to do the same, save the few local words you'd learnt to get what you wanted 'Schnell' to fuck their women, then I'm surprised you're not still enjoying living there, or are you like so many out there, just a part time bullshitter who needs to come home to Mummy and prove what a hero you are to all and sundrie who'll listen to you down at the local watering hole, with 'No Poofters' naturally, innit Mate ?
