CD Puck slipping solution.

If you have the puck with the three small rubber rings and it is not gripping your CD'S try turning the rubber rings around and repositioning them also borrow your wifes emery board the one she uses for filing her nails and use this to rough up the surface of the rubber rings where they contact the discs before you play them ..it worked wonders for my CDX SLIPPED DISC !!

Personally I wouldn't use a nail file.

Yep you can turn the rubber rings but the best bet is to get a spare and swap them over evry now and then.

Also meant to say that you should have posted this in the Hi Fi forum where I am certain you will get more answers.

I've also cured the problem on a number of occasions by inserting the end of a paper clip into each ring (careful with this!) and very gently easing it back out to its normal shape.

Yes Ewemon thanks for that.....
I posted when I was listening to some fantastic vinyl on the LP12 wasn't concentrating on which forum I was posting in ...OH WELL !
When I said rough up I mean't dont take an angle grinder approach very gentle and carefully is the key ... I have tried all the other methods mentioned for puck slippage on the forum and this one works as well as using any of the others methods !
