Ivor silly story

This story ( dont know if its true but I hope so ) relates loosely to the global warming topic,I put it in for no reason other than irony !
During the 2nd world war a wealthy landowner (I was told it was the owner of longleat but dont quote me)was approached by the towns leaders to get support for the war effort. "you have 3 butlers,4 maids 2 drivers and a pastry chef !Surely you can be reasonable like everyone else .How about giving up the pastry chef? "

" Right so with all the hardship and death in our society you come to me and say I can't have a bloody biscuit !
Well I thought it was funny , maybe you have to be english ?
