Does anybody here remember Vera Lyn?

Pete Atkin

Beware Of The Beautiful Stranger
Driving Through Mythical America
A King At Nightfall
The Road Of Silk
Secret Drinker
Live Libel

Brilliant set of 4 CDs featuring remastered songs by Pete Atkin and Clive James (yes that Clive James); are these albums good or are these albums good? Superb lyrics and great performances. Somewhere between Bob Dylan and Richard Digance in style (who happen to be two of my favourite song writers - well not sure I could say Pete as good as Mr D, but it is close: don't think Pete has appeared on Countdown either). If you haven't heard any Pete and Clive songs try their web site click here.

Played in the car earlier and pleased that Mark is still enjoying this great canadian band.

Note to Jeff Anderson: If you fancy trying The Dears they are playing in Portland on 26 May at the Douglas Fir Lounge. Here's their MySpace for samples.
