Never liked them in the past, but giving them another go...liking it. I could see this adding the quality of my tinnitus. Tool and '10,000 days'. Fantastic 3d digipak.

First Listen,
"Songwriter to the stars Hewerdine showcases his finely crafted songs in an acoustic guitar-led setting, his light, reedy voice carrying simple, poetic reflections on life and love. The spirit of Nick Drake and Tim Hardin hang over 'Harvest Gypsy', while the understated rhythmic pulse of 'Stone My Shoe' sounds like something JJ Cale might have written."

Stu...I had that 2bl album and it went missing at a party about 10yrs ago. I've kept an eye open for it for years. Great version of Lorelei (?s). Is the cd available anywhere globally?

On ECM - the trio is playing the Royal Festival Hall 25th July. Tickets on sale Wednesday. Can't wait.

This is one of my favourite Jarrett shows - a come back after illness in Paris and a gig I was at.

Because it's ECM.

What do you think Nigel?

It sounds really interesting on first listen - more of an "American" feel than your "typical" ECM release. The music has a light, freewheeling quality that I rather, ahem, dig! Will give it another spin later.

I almost bought the Sinan/Hulsmann "Fasil" CD as well, but in the end opted for the new Enrico Rava. Did I choose wisely?

I did not like Fly first listen although I was wandering the house whilst it was playing, so not giving it my full concentration and it began to annoy me as an album. I played it on the train home tonight and found it much more suited to my journey home and quite enjoyed it.

The Rava is good, so yes you chose well. The Sinan is an interesting CD and I like it a lot more than I was expecting. The guitar playing is very good on it. It is a little more challenging and abstract but worth checking out IMHO and a vocal album - you will either warm to the voice or not. You can always listen to it on Spotify.

Why? Stunning first album from Nathan Fake tonally colourful with beautiful textured melodies running throughout the album. His new one is just out and I'm waiting to get my grubby hands on it.

I never knew they had an Oxfam in Barcelona.

Because, it reminds me that there are still musicians with integrity.
