Haim,

I think you like above CD if you don't have it already. Smile

Kuma,

How is his Conversation with Bill Evans? The only Thibaudet disc I have is a Satie. He gave a concert last year in Chicago but I decided not to go. I am trying to avoid Orchestra Hall as much as I can.

Thanks Haim for increasing my CD budget yet again. This just arrived tonight and just nearing the end of my first listen.

A busy evening already. Before the Bach...

...and before the Schubert...

Haim,

I saw him perform Ravel's Concerto for the left hand. What a dissapointment. I thought the performance was not dynamic or expressive enough merely massaging keyboards rather than playing it. Frown
Also, I thought it was pretty sloppy, too.

then again, maybe that's his style. So, I guess his *flowy* type of playing suits Evans' stuff or Satie better. Not a bad cover. Give it a try.

Change of pace. Rach on the Briks.

Piano Concerto in A minor op.16

I'm a bit taken back, I‘m not supposed to have this record. I purchased it from eBay last year sometime, and only just got around to cleaning and playing it.
The sleeve cover is correct… Decca - Beethoven Hammerklavier Sonata in B flat op.106 with Vladimir Ashkenazy on piano!
But the record inside is on RCA label, and music that Mr. Grieg is so well known for.

The Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra is doing a fine job for my consolement, but i can't help feel like i've found a shilling, but lost a pound : (
