Any good Adrian? Samples sound good.

All those ECM Touchstone discs I ordered never turned up the company went belly up.

So will have to go through the motions once again.

Too early for me to say - only got it a few hours ago and need to replay. Too busy listening to E.S.T in concert - so good Winker

Borrowed from a jazz fan. Sounds good to me not that I know much about jazz.

His other two albums In my Element and Canvas are both worth checking out.

Many consider him past his best at this stage, a bit overblown, but sounds like he's really having fun, in his own grumpy manner.

Haim, you may like this one. The female singer plays the Banjo, a string quartet rounds it up - what is left is fascinating music making

cheers

Nothing new, but I used to think this was e-zee listening, now with every new play I realise just how barmy it really is.

Posted on: 06 April 2009 by Pigeon_Fancier
And this is super barmy - and better still live!

Oliver,

Philips has a CD of the concerti OP.9 with I Musici and Holliger. I am almost sure that it is the same recording.

Now, don't tell me that you have been watching the unexciting NCAA finals..

I'm at work right now and recorded it for tonight - it will be a treat for me, one sided as it might have been, I lived in NC in the late 90s and UNC deserved this win. Smile

I will have a look for the CD.

Not a big UNC fan, but they played very well all year. Now some music ...

Here's the blip from the marketing department:

"Boasting block part attitude, effortless charisma & conscious lyricism, native New Yorker Stephanie McKay's new album Tell It Like It Is wraps up classic soul, seventies funk-rock and old-school hip hop influences into one vibrant outpouring."

Quite a mouth full, but the album is not bad at all or since we are old school here - it's really bad. Winker
