Maybe a little mannered, but really has a wonderful, sloppy groove. Perfect for a balmy, early summer evening.

Have today, striped down my system, and rebuilt it with the soundy cables well away from the juice pipes, and a new mains lead on the cd player (Sondek is in hospital). This is sounding cracking...

On ECM

but only on 24/96.
It really is good, and much more listenable than on CD.
Someone please tell me why

It's reviving good memories of seeing Sclavis perform some of this material live in Cologne last year - a truly awe-inspiring concert.

You have to be in the right mood for Sclavis. Just not sure what that mood is...Good album cover.

If you get a chance to see them live, go for it - I think the music makes a lot more sense in that context.
