Fasten your seatbelts....
A wonderful journey through post-rock sound-landscapes.
Close your eyes and see the winter storm on the 4th song at the end...
UNBELIEVABLE

After MONO,
this.
I am a drummer and to me, THIS is the BEST drum-sound.
Good songs, too.

A rare foray into contemporary rock/pop (for me), but Natasha Khan (aka BfL) is a star, and deserves our support.
Saw it in my local yesterday - any good?

Sounds superb so far - the opening track is a killer. For me, she bears comparison with Kate Bush, Bjork and other visionary female singer-songwriters. You can sample the whole album on Last FM if you want to try before you buy:

Good Heavens. You're the first person I've known who had even heard of this album.

You have an impressive barman Stu. I have seen shamrocks and ducks in the foam at the top of a pint of the Black Stuff, but nothing at all like the things your man seems to put there.

I have a copy too, but haven't really got into it, but maybe sometime. Have got so much Pearl Jam live, and re-issue stuff lately it hasn't really had time to be tried. I have the Mother Love Bone albums too, but I don't like Andrew Wood's singing (RIP), too much like Axel Rose (realname - Bill Bailey, according to the other Bill Bailey)
Just listening to 'I' by 'PT', great versions of 'T' and 'H', and yes making acronyms of song titles is a pet hate of mine, as you can't tell what people are actually talking about, although that has mainly been on the Jazz 1959 thread.

Trying to get the kids to bed and make the mood in the house more relaxing.
