My favourite lyric outside of Dylan Miles - Genius...also my favourite Cohen track. I love the version on Live. Wish it was on Live in London (it probably is, and I've just missed it).

I have been listening to this a lot this week and whilst I concur that it is one of Cohen's best songs, the most important line in Joan of Arc is, imho

I have to agree with you , better than most of the era . Too arty or just too ahead of their time for your 80's buying public ?

I'm just starting to investigate Japan and later probably David Sylvian's solo work and I am intrigued with what I hear which is usually a good sign for long term interest in their music.
