My dealer has finally found me a mint condition vinyl so the deluxe cd has gone forever!

You've started me off now...I wouldn't call this copy 'mint' but it's bloody marvelous

Mat ,
A couple of years ago John Martyn did a live track for a BBC Scotland music program . He sang " Hurt in your Heart " from the Grace and Danger album which was about him saying sorry for fooling around during the marrage and even though it was over 20 years since the break-up with Beverley he had tears running down his face as he was performing .
Incredibly emotional performance and I'm reminded of it each time I hear it .
Great Talent , Mad bloke .

On the Original Black Stuff!

Yep, great guy. He was as mad as a cut snake, but totally loveable. Fine Lines is one of my favourite ever songs...vocal genius. Wherever he's gone, I'll be a regular at his gigs when I get there...

It's a classic Gordon. No idea if that's a fair price, but it's certainly a record, I'd replace if lost.

Huwge,
Is there an album of her's you suggest for a first timer? She does a duet with the Dex Romweber Duo I like, so I was thinking of checking out one of her albums.
Thanks.
pat
Pat,
sorry for the late reply - The Greatest is not a bad entry point, but my two favourites are Moon Pix (esp. Moonshiner) and the Covers Record, which I prefer to Jukebox. The Dark End of the Street EP is also worth a listen.
Huw
Hi Huw,
Thanks for the suggestions. Will check one out.

Hello patk,
We've recently had a film on the telly, (BBC 2 i think) last Saturday night, about Wilhelm Furtwangler just after the war, and his interrogation by the occupational Americans.
It' a good film, well worth seeing, very interesting, the film is called 'Taking Sides'.
