Hello patk,
We've recently had a film on the telly, (BBC 2 i think) last Saturday night, about Wilhelm Furtwangler just after the war, and his interrogation by the occupational Americans.
It' a good film, well worth seeing, very interesting, the film is called 'Taking Sides'.
Debs
Hi Debs,
Thanks for that. Sounds very interesting. I will have to see if I can find it over here.
Best regards,
Pat

I was debating wether or not to get this one as my dealer wants £30 for it?

Doh! I'll never get used to the idea of free access to tons of music...

Surreal and dreamlike, it has a very distinctive 'live' sound, with birdsong faintly audible in the background of some of the tracks.

I first heard Penguin cafe on this film soundtrack, worth seeking out.
I first saw this film about 20 years ago, loved it then, still love it.

The highly regarded Leisure Society samples can be heard here. It was an album of the week at Rough Trade. This is my second play and I like it; peaceful man

This is a cracking well recorded album. You become fully engrossed from the off and unaware of anything else that might be going on around you.
