The arsenic was in his wallpaper paste. It was standard practice in those days to hang flock wallpaper (as was the norm) by using a paste made of arsenic and some other agents.

I only have the regular version, usually quality is not really better in these deluxe editions but you get them for the bonus material if it is of interest to you.
