Just listening to Joe Strummer's Global a Go Go - great music, sounding fantastic as well.

Magnificent reissue of a forgotten classic - so good it almost rivals QS&C. The excellent and sadly missed songwriting genius of Robert Calvert in all its greatness. OK so it is not as good as Hype, but then few elpees are, but this is great stuff.

Atomhendge re-releases are outstanding - well done to all involved.

Just wonderful at this stage in the evening, an antidote to teenage daughters.

Nic, I'll add this to my ECM wishlist. I go home to my 16 (26? 36?) year old delight later today. We are taking her and her best mate to Ibiza next week - I really don't know what we were thinking when that one was booked! Eek

Mark,

This will certainly help chill you out, and a good pair of headphones will keep out the backchat and general insults. Nice to know I am not alone Big Grin

I saw the group live a few months back, and really enjoyed them. Subsequently I discovered the pianist and bass player played on a Manu Katche album I have "Neighbourhood", which is also worth getting.

Katche was drumming for Jan Garbarek at another gig I went to. Like ripples in a pond really.

Regards

Nic
