Neko Case - Middle Cyclone

Radiohead at Glastonbury 1997 via BBC iPlayer, whilst sitting in Beijing Airport during a much-delayed trip home from Mongolia. Whilst the sound quality is a bit dire, I'm enjoying it a whole lot.

Looking forward to getting home, though.

Duke: Indigos in mono.

Scored a bunch of original Columbia 6 eyes today. This is one of them. Big Grin

Trying to make it through all the war symphonies this weekend - ambitious, but it can be done. Winker

Very cool, congrats.

Miles,

I am listening to it as I write. Whilst it's not really a dance tune, there are some really cool solo work in here.

If you have a chance, listen to it and let me know what you think.

p.s. did you ever get a record player?

Yeah! The f&^k!ng @r$h01e$! Just heard it. That annoys me. Was it really necessary?

Great set, though.

Not a bad album Adrian quite rhythmic in places.

Never really listened to him much but he has a nice free flowing style.

Think I will have to investigate more of his albums.

Not yet, I'm still in exile down under - once I make it back to the US I will give it serious consideration. Cool

Lionel Hampton: Golden Vibes.
Unusual *demonstration/promo* disc with a 6 eye white label.
'59 release. Pretty decent sounding early stereo pressing.
It's too slowish for my taste, but it contains my favourite tune 'But Beautiful'. Perfect down tempo listening for the breezy summer night.

on vinyl I purchased all those years ago. forgot how good this is

The new one is so good, I had to go and dig some of the early ones out.

Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago

Duke Ellington And Count Basie First Time!
The original '62 release.
Unfortunately this copy in stereo. Ellington in the right, Basie on the left.
But the both bands are in full swing and an interaction of both in Take the "A" train is pretty fun. Big Grin
